Our purpose is to maintain the beauty, serenity, and attractiveness of Spearfish Canyon — and to preserve it for every generation that calls this place home.
We monitor and protect the water quality and flow of Spearfish Creek and its tributaries, and we preserve in perpetuity the covenants and conditions placed upon this property by Homestake Mining Company of California. These aren't just rules — they're a commitment to keeping the canyon exactly what it has always been: one of the most remarkable places in the Black Hills.
